Ramayana Advance Bookings Cross Rs 80 Crore; Nitesh Tiwari Film Set For Big Opening

Namit Malhotra's Ramayana is building strong momentum at the box office, with advance sales for the first few days soaring in the domestic market ahead of its release. The Nitesh Tiwari film, starring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana, has earned Rs 81.78 crore in advance bookings so far, according to trade tracker Sacnilk . Hindi leads with Rs 66.89 crore, followed by Kannada at Rs 6.85 crore and Telugu at Rs 6.37 crore. Tamil has recorded Rs 1.33 crore, while Malayalam stands at Rs 34.22 lakh. The figure is Rs 65.83 crore without block seats. A total of 21.25 lakh tickets have been sold, including 17.11 lakh without block seats, it added. Day 1 to Day 4 Advance Booking For Day 1, the film has earned Rs 35.21 crore from 9.12 lakh tickets across 21,927 shows, Without block seats, the figure is Rs 29.63 crore from 7.64 lakh tickets, according to Sacnilk. The cricket world was in shock as Punjab Kings set a new world record on Friday. Led by Jonny Bairstow's incredible hundred, Punjab Kings set a new world record for the highest run chase in the history of T20 cricket as they overhauled the 262-run target set by Kolkata Knight Riders with eight wickets to spare in the IPL on Friday. PBKS bettered South Africa's 259/4 against West Indies in March last year. In the IPL, Rajasthan Royals held the previous record for chasing down 224 against KKR at Eden Gardens recently, equalling the record they had set against then Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings) in 2020 in Sharjah.

Talking about the match, sent into bat, Kolkata Knight Riders scored 261/6 but PBKS completed the chase with eight balls to spare.

India Won't Go To Pakistan For Asia Cup, To Play At Neutral Venue: Report

The Asia Cup 2023 is likely to be held in Pakistan, but India will play their games at a neutral venue. After a brief stalemate, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) are working quickly to broker a compromise that could result in both teams playing their tournament matches against one another outside of Pakistan. India are likely to play their Asia Cup 2023 matches in either England, Oman, Sri Lanka or UAE. "A meeting between the boards had been done a few days back and the tournament will be allowed to be held in Pakistan. India will play their matches at a neutral venue and will not travel to Pakistan, the venues where India could play their matches are likely to be Oman, UAE, England, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
